Q.What is a member?

By paying 550 yen (tax included) per month, an account for one person will be issued. This will allow you to access services provided by OHDr. as a member.

Q.Why is there a membership fee?

OHDr. is based on the concept of a “Family Doctor,” a service that provides mid-to long-term health management support to customers. In order to do so, it is necessary to store our customer’s medical information in a secure environment, and the membership system is designed to maintain this environment. 

OHDr. charges a monthly membership fee, but does not charge a per-visit system fee. Therefore, our fee structure is designed to be more reasonable than the total amount you would pay for a general in-person visit.

Q.Can multiple people use the same account?

No, once you set up an account, only the person who registered (one person) is able to use it.

Q.What kind of services are available when you become a member?

By registering as a member, you can use the following services:
・ Multilingual online consultation/medical consultation
・ Online medical interpreter
・ Online language treatment
・ Proxy service for medical institution reservation

Q.When will I be charged?

When you register as a member, you will be required to pay the monthly membership fee with a credit card. From the following month onward, we will charge the monthly fee on the day you subscribed.
Example) When registered on May 10th
A fee from May 10th to June 9th is charged on May 10

A fee from June 10th to July 9th is charged on June 10

Q.Is there anything else I need to pay other than the monthly fee?

In addition to the monthly fee, you will pay a fee for whatever service you use. In addition, a 220 yen service fee will be charged for each payment.

Q.I want to withdraw my membership.

Access the “Menu” on the membership site, select “Account setting”, and you will find a button to withdraw your membership. Please process from here

Q.If I withdraw my membership in the middle of the month, will I get a daily refund for the remaining period?

No. There is no daily refund. If you cancel in the middle of the month, you can use the service for one month from the date when the latest usage fee was incurred. After that, it will be canceled automatically.

Q.Can I become a member again after withdrawing?

Yes, it is possible.

Q.What payment methods are available for membership fees?

Currently, we are only accpet credit cards.

Q.It says I can use LINE and Facebook, why does only the Messenger button appear?

It seems like you connected to Facebook when you registered. In that case, only Messenger will be displayed on the page after you log in.
Our system can allow one account to connect to only one external service.

Q.It says I can use LINE and Facebook, why does only the LINE button appear?

It seems like you connected to LINE when you registered. In that case, only the “Add Friend” button for LINE will be displayed on the page after you log in.
Our system can allow one account to connect to only one external service.

Q.I contacted OHDr. via Messenger, but there was no reply.

As a general rule, we will reply within one hour during business hours (10:00–22:00 on weekdays).
If you do not receive a reply within the above business hours, in rare cases, your Facebook may have been blocked our Messenger. In that case, we will not be able to contact you so please check your account settings first.

Q.What is medical examination and medical consultation?

■Medical Examination
Please select this option if you wish to receive medication as you would in a normal hospital visit. Medication can be prescribed.
For example:
・I want medicine for hay fever.
・I have caught a mild cold.
・I need a regular prescription for asthma medication.

■Medical consultation
You can feel free to consult with your doctor about the symptoms you are worried about, such as whether you should go to the hospital or take medicine.

For example:
There were items that “need follow-up” and “require special attention” in the results of medical examination, but I would like to hear the doctor’s advice on what to do in the future.

Q.What is the difference between medical examination and medical consultation?

Prescription of medication is only available for “medical examination” service.

Q.Is there any time of the day when you cannot accommodate certain languages support?

Yes, there are. Currently, the only languages available at all hours are English, Chinese, and Japanese.
Please note that there are cases where it is difficult to arrange medical interpreters during noontime and nighttime consultation hours, and we may have to ask you to adjust your schedule. We appreciate your understanding.

Q.Where can I check the payment amount?

On the next business day after your medical examination/medical consultation, we will send you the billing contents by email / LINE / Facebook Messenger. Please check the details from there.

Q.Is there any charge for payment?

A settlement fee will be charged for each transaction when paying for OHDr. services. A flat rate of 220 yen will be charged for each transaction.

Q.Is the online medical consultation fee more expensive than a regular clinic visit?

Like regular clinics, insurance coverage is available, so you can use our service as if you were visiting a hospital or clinic. 550 yen/month will be charged for membership fee but since most online clinics charge 1,100 to 2,200 yen per visit, it is a particularly good deal especially for those who have regular prescription or those who need regular medical visits.

Q.When will the medical examination fee be charged?

After applying for medical examination, the fee will be charged once you join Zoom and have medical examination/consultation with the doctor.

About medications and prescriptions

Q.How will I receive my medications if I choose home delivery?

In principle, medication is delivered to your home from our partner pharmacies. The following are enclosed.

・ Medication
・ A sticker with prescription details for your medication booklet
・ An invoice for the cost of your medication and shipping fees
・ A receipt

Q.Is it possible to receive medicine directly at a pharmacy instead of delivery?

Yes, please specify upon making the appointment or inform us by the end of the consultation.

■When receiving medicine directly at a pharmacy
On the next business day after the consultation, we will send the prescription data to the preferred pharmacy. OHDr. will contact you as soon as the pharmacy prepares the medicine, so please go to the pharmacy.

Q.Can I specify the delivery address for my medication?

Yes. Upon making an appointment, you will be asked to enter the delivery address for your medicine. Please enter your preferred delivery address then.

Q.Can I change the delivery address for my medications and prescriptions?

We are afraid you cannot change the delivery address once you have paid as arrangements for delivery is already made. We will inform you the delivery number, so please check with the shipping company directly and ask if they can deal with changes.

Q.Is it possible to get medicine from the pharmacy of the clinic I am visiting?

We are sorry, but we cannot meet your request.

Q.Can you increase the prescription amount and the number of days?

In principle, the upper limit is 28 days in all cases, regardless of chronic illness. The amount of medication prescribed is subject to adjustment at the discretion of the doctor and may not be able to meet your request. There are also some medications that we cannot prescribe, such as psychotropic drugs. As you have agreed upon making your appointment, we are unable to cancel your prescription after it has been issued. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Q.I want to pick up my medication/prescription directly at the clinic.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but our method for medication hand over for patients who have undergone medical examination is limited to delivery from OHDr.’s partner pharmacy. We refrain from responding to individual requests in order to prevent mistakes and troubles. Thank you for your understanding.

Q.I would like to have some of my medications added or changed.

We are sorry, but once the doctor has made a decision and prescribed the medication, in principle, we cannot add or change the prescription. If you really want to request additional prescriptions, please apply again.

Q.When will I receive my medicine?

Usually, it will be sent out on the next business day after the consultation, and it will arrive in about 1 to 2 days. If you do not receive your medicine after 3 to 4 days, please contact OHDr.

Q.I want to take an online examination for my baby. Can the child’s medical certificate be applied?

We are sorry, but the child’s medical certificate cannot be applied to OHDr.’s services.
Depending on the area, you may be able to apply for reimbursement of the medical examination fee with a child’s medical certificate at your local city hall after making payment of the full cost of the examination. Please contact the department in charge of the city hall where you live for more details.

Q. What are generic drugs?

A generic drug is a medication created to have the same efficacy as brand-name medicines that are manufactured and sold under the approval of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. The price is lower than the brand-name medicine, which will reduce medical fees.
※Regardless of whether the drug is brand-name or generic, side effects may occur in rare cases, so it is important to communicate with doctors and pharmacists. If you have any concerns, please consult with the doctor.

Q.What is medication guidance?

“Medication guidance” is a guidance given by pharmacists to patients about prescribed medicine including below:
・ How to take the medicine
・ Side effects and precautions of the medicine
・ How to store the medicine

Medication guidance must be given when prescribing medication that requires a prescription, and is also stipulated in the “Pharmaceutical Affairs Law”.

For the above reasons, we will not be able to hand or deliver the medicine unless we can confirm that the patient has received the medication instruction from the pharmacist so that the patient can take the medicine properly.

Q.When applying for medication delivery, I could not choose any convenient time slots to receive the medication guidance.

We recommend receiving medicine at a pharmacy or using medication guidance agency.

Medication guidance agency: OHDr. staff can receive medication guidance from the pharmacy, translate it when necessary, and send it to you in text format. You can use it for 330 yen (tax included) each time.

Q.I am no longer available for the time of the medication guidance I initially reserved.

Please consult OHDr. for rescheduling as soon as you know your new schedule. In principle, we do not accept changes on the day of the medication guidance. Please consult amedication guidance agency in that case.

Q.I want to receive my medication as soon as possible. Which is faster, home delivery or going to the pharmacy?

You can receive the medicine faster by picking up directly at the pharmacy.
* Depending on the stock status of pharmacy medication, it may take time.

Q.Can I get a prescription for psychotropic medication? (Example: sleeping pills, etc.)

Prescription of psychotropic drugs is not permitted during the first consultation through online medical treatment. You will first need to receive face-to-face medical treatment at our affiliated medical institution – Narita International Airport Clinic.
Prescriptions for the second and subsequent doses can be filled online.

In addition, the following prescriptions can be prescribed even during the first consultation through online medical treatment. If you wish, please make an appointment for a consultation.

About online medical interpretation

In “Online medical interpreter”, an interpreter participates and performs medical interpretation using an electronic device such as a mobile phone, tablet, or PC instead of face-to-face when a patient consults a doctor or when a doctor explains a medical condition.

About language treatment

Q.What is language treatment?

“Speech therapy” is a way of training to improve communication and treat dysphagia through activities and courses designed by therapists to improve the patient’s quality of life.

Q.What kind of treatment / training do you provide?

First, please consult a senior speech therapist through “online remote consultation”. After that, we will evaluate the patient’s condition in “online remote evaluation”. Then, training schedule and content are decided to proceed to “online remote training”.
* All consultations and training will be conducted using ZOOM.

About Family Plan

Q. How much is the Family Plan membership fee?

For 880 yen per month (tax included), you can have one main member account and four additional family member accounts.

Q. How many accounts can I register with the Family Plan?

Up to four family members can be registered for each main member account.

Q. What is the scope of the Family Plan?

Any family member or relative within the third degree of relationship can form a group for the family plan, regardless of whether they live together or separately.
The OHDr.’s definition of third-degree relatives includes not only legal marriages, but also cases in which the couple lives together as husband and wife with the intention of marrying each other (so-called de facto marriages and same-sex partners).

No, you do not. When you join the Family Plan, your monthly membership fee is 880 yen.

Q. How is the membership fee calculated if I join the Family Plan?

You will be charged 880 yen on the next billing cycle after you join.
For example, if your billing date is the 20th of each month and you add the first family member on the 10th of November, you will be charged 880 Yen on the 20th of November.

Q. How do I apply for a Family Account?

1. Log in with your main member account.
2. Click on ‘Family Members’ in the account settings.
3. Click on ‘Add a new member’.
4. Enter your family member’s ‘Account Name’, ‘Password’, ‘Date of Birth’ and ‘Japanese Health Insurance Card Photo Front and Back’ to apply.

If you do not have their Japanese Health Insurance Cards, you can submit official documents to prove their identities.

Q. How long does it take to get approved for a Member Account?

Applications are reviewed within 1-2 business days and you will be notified if approval is denied.

Q. How do I make a reservation as a family member?

① Log in from here with the family member’s ID and password
② Proceed to “Make a Reservation”.

Q. I don’t want to use the credit card registered on the main member’s account to pay the fee, but can I register another credit card?

You can add a new credit card to your family member’s account by following the steps below.

① Log in to the Family Account
② Click on the Credit Card Information button in the Account Settings.
③ Click ‘Register’ to register a new credit card.

※ You can select your preferred credit card when making a reservation.

Q.How can I check the fees?

After the consultation, the OHDr. will inform you and the family members about the fees, which can also be checked on these accounts.

Q.How do I cancel the family account?

Once you have logged in to the family account, click on ‘Cancel membership’ at the bottom of the account settings.

Q.How can I switch from the Family Plan back to normal membership?

If you wish to do so, please contact us.

Currently, we do not have any collaborators to whom we can refer our patients. We will do our best to provide safe and reliable medical services to our patients as soon as possible, but for now, we are unable to provide such services.

Q.Could you write a letter of introduction for the PCR test?

We can issue a letter of referral, but please note that this is not a guarantee that you will be able to take the PCR test.

Q.Can you issue a medical certificate?

Yes, we can issue a medical certificate.
